THINGS TO DO
-
Universal Studios Hollywood
Only a few minutes’ drive from Burbank, Gaille and Stacy have taken advantage of living so close to this theme park over the years.
Gaille’s favorite attractions include the Fast and Furious segment of the Studio Tour and Jurassic Park. Stacy is just “here for the turkey leg.”
-
Universal CityWalk
Universal CityWalk is right outside the Universal Studios Theme Park and is the entertainment, dining, and retail district of the area.
Candidly, this is one of Stacy’s work locations, so she avoids it at all costs for non-work activities unless Gaille nags her enough.
-
Downtown Burbank
If you’re staying at one of our recommended hotels, you are just walking distance away from Downtown Burbank. There are over 600 shops, restaurants, and entertainment venues here!
Gaille and Stacy love catching a movie at the AMC, playing games at the Round 1 Arcade, and grabbing food and drinks at any of the options here.
-
Glendale Americana at Brand
Whenever we have out-of-town guests staying over, one of their first questions is where the best shopping destination is. Look no further.
The Americana is a premier outdoor shopping, dining, and entertainment destination that is just a 15-minute drive from Burbank. It has virtually every “LA” type of store you can think of, plus some great dining options. Kid-friendly and also fun to people watch!
-
Griffith Park and Griffith Observatory
Adjacent to Burbank, Griffith Park is one of the largest urban parks, offering hiking trails, the LA Zoo, and the iconic Griffith Observatory. In earlier years, Gaille dragged Stacy out on a few short hikes here. We’re due for more ;).
The Observatory itself has beautiful panoramic city views and exhibits on astronomy. We’ve taken friends and family to see the famous Downtown LA skyline and Hollywood sign from here.
-
Warner Bros. Studio Tour
Warner Bros. offers different guided tours that includes visits to soundstages, backlots, and interactive exhibits, providing insights into the filmmaking process.
Candidly, Stacy and Gaille drive by Warner Bros. Studios every week, and have taken this Burbank gem for granted. Check out pricing at wbstudiotour.com.
